How Can We Be Loving Toward Ourselves?

Accepting Yourself

To be able to truly love others, you need to love yourself. Loving yourself means accepting yourself as you are, with your present faults and shortcomings. It means being kind to yourself, being a friend to yourself, rather than being angry and frustrated that you aren’t the person you’d like to be.

Acknowledging Your Potential

Loving yourself also means acknowledging your potential to change and grow, to experience greater happiness, peace, and positive qualities. And, it involves giving yourself the space to fill that potential, and truly wishing yourself to be happy and free from problems.
